Geographic location of Lorestan province
Lorestan province with an area of about 285.87 km2 in western Iran is located between the 40 °, 32 ° and 23 °, 34 ° north latitude, and 50 °, 46 ° 1 ‘and 50 ° east. The average height of Lorestan is more than 2200 meters above sea level. The lowest point of the province with a height of 239 meters is located in the southernmost province of the province, and its highest peak is Oshtorankh with a height of 4080 meters above sea level in the Zagros range. Lorestan province is north of Hamedan province, northeast to Markazi province, east to Isfahan province, south to Khuzestan province, west to Ilam province and northwest to Kermanshah province.
