The lake is located between the Lorestan and Ilam provinces in the northern zone 38 and between the longitude of ’12 ° 47 ‘and ’31 ° 47’, and the latitude ’04 ° 33 ‘to 18 ° 33’ north (Figure 3-2). Plain plain with a total area of 3700 hectares is located south and south-east of Poldokhtar city in Lorestan province. This plain is limited to the north by the Kashkan River, from the south to the Seimareh sloping mass (Chal jaydar), from the west to the gypsum hills of the village of Garden jaydar, from the east to the road pavement of Poldokhtar, Andimashk. Lake jaydaris located in this plain with geographical coordinates 33 degrees, 18 minutes and 6 seconds north latitude, 47 degrees, 49 minutes and 24 seconds east longitude and 808 meters above sea level. jaydar plain and its catchment area are part of the Keshkan river basin and one of the main branches of the Karkheh river. This river is the most important source of water supply for the agricultural land of this plain. The average annual rainfall in this area is 359.9 mm, the average annual temperature is about 21.5 ° C. The occurrence of Seimareh landslide in the northeastern eastern edge of the Kebirkouq Anti-Clinical region about 11,000 years ago and covering the area with the crushed limestone at a level of 30,000 hectares has led to the creation of suitable conditions for the formation and development of the aquifer of the plain.
